Stronger Together: Cotton Face Mask Program
3/29/2020
This past week, our team has been hard at work coordinating with Love Your Melon and a group of incredible manufacturers from across America to create a supply chain for much-needed face masks for the healthcare industry.
We're proud to share that production starts today to produce 50k face masks over the next two weeks that will be donated directly to children’s hospitals, care facilities, and nonprofit organizations for children battling cancer and their families to wear.
If you are a team member at one of these organizations, please visit the following link to request masks: https://loveyourmelon.com/pages/cotton-face-mask-request
It's an honor to work alongside these amazing companies: Love Your Melon, Authenticity50, Minnesota Knitting Mills, Softline Brand Partners, Bluegrass and Carr Textile.
Together, we're stronger.
Interested in making cotton face masks for your community?
While these cotton face masks are not medical grade, hospitals and non-profit organizations are requesting them to help our most vulnerable during this time of crisis. In addition, they are allowing our limited supply of surgical grade PPE to be stretched further along the frontline of the COVID-19 pandemic. Learn how to make masks for your community with this online tutorial from Deaconess Hospital.
MAINE: While we’re weaving material for the program above, we are also assembling a limited quantity of face masks at our facility in Monmouth that we’re distributing locally. If you are a Maine-based organization or individual that would like to make a request for these locally-made face masks, please contact us here.
